Perhentian Island

Perhentian Island (or Pulau Perhentian, as it is known locally) consists of 2 beautiful unspoiled islands off the north eastern coast of Peninsula Malaysia. Approximately 21km of the coast of Kuala Besut, both Perhentian Kecil (Small Perhentian) and Perhentian Besar (Big Perhentian) houses about 30 resorts in total, catering to travellers from all around. Nature lovers would love these islands, with a huge range of marine life like turtles and reef fish just off any of the five large beaches and even more wildlife like flying squirrels, butterflies and monkeys inland.

Dive Seasons

Getting to Perhentian is not possible during the months of November to March due to the Northeast monsoon. During the rest of the months, the islands become a magnet for divers, snorkellers and anyone just wanting to have an authentic island getaway, with beautiful weather awaiting them.
