Lembeh Strait
Located on the other side of Manado from Bunaken National Park, the Lembeh Straits houses an underwater dream for photographers and divers alike. With plenty of dive sites just off the coast, there is always something new to see in the waters and divers just keep coming back, to be surprised again by the muck diving. Keep a look out for the mimic octopus or harlequin shrimps next time you’re there!
Diving Season
Unlike Malaysia’s diving areas, Lembeh is not affected by the annual Northeast monsoon and so is accessible for diving all year round. Conditions do however change within the year. The August period may have the poorest visibility, but it also offers the richest number of critters to find underwater.
